
Sandra Audkirk, a career diplomat, has become the new Chargé d’Affaires of the United States to Ukraine. She succeeded Julie Davis in this position.

According to the department, Sandra Audkirk is a representative of the senior corps of the US diplomatic service and has over 30 years of international work experience.
Since 2024, she has worked at the US Department of Defense, where she held positions such as Deputy Director of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies and Foreign Policy Advisor to the US European Command.
From 2021 to 2024, she led the American Institute in Taiwan.
Professional Profile
During her work in Washington, Audkirk dealt with issues of strategic competition between states, energy security, the implementation of economic sanctions, and counteracting the financing of threats.
She also has extensive experience working abroad, including in Taipei, Dublin, Ankara, Istanbul, and Beijing.
Education and Languages
She graduated from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and Turkish.
