President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that over four years of war, Ukraine has received less anti-missile aid from partners than Middle Eastern countries used in just the first day of the conflict with Iran.

The head of state made these remarks in an interview with Sky News.

Commenting on the impact of the war in the Middle East on support for Ukraine, Zelensky noted that stabilizing the situation in the region could help Kyiv obtain more air defense systems and anti-ballistic missiles.

“If the United States, along with its partners, stabilizes the situation in the Middle East, if it’s a truly strong, long-term solution between the parties, then we will have more opportunities to receive aid,” the president said.

According to him, Middle Eastern countries possess significantly larger stockpiles of anti-ballistic missiles than Ukraine.

“They have a huge quantity, of course, incomparable to Ukraine,” Zelensky stated.

The President also compared the scales of weapon utilization.

“What we have received from the United States and Europeans over all these years, over four years of this war, we received a smaller quantity than the Middle East used on the first day of the war,” he emphasized.

At the same time, Zelensky stressed that Ukraine has learned to survive even with a shortage of weaponry.

“We have learned how to live without it and how to survive without it,” said the head of state.

The President also supported the idea of a ceasefire in the Middle East, noting its importance for the civilian population.

“A ceasefire is good for everyone – for societies, for the Middle East, for ordinary civilians in different countries, including civilians in Iran,” Zelensky stated.

According to him, the cessation of hostilities in the region will allow allies to provide more active assistance to Ukraine.

“Then these partners will be able to help us more under such circumstances,” the president concluded.

We remind you that in the same interview, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has significantly increased its own weapons production during the full-scale war and is close to creating its own ballistic missiles. He also warned the Russian authorities that the war would now affect the center of Russia.
