Oil production in Kazakhstan

Oil producers in Kazakhstan will also be forced to curtail their extraction. This will occur if pipeline supplies to the CPC are suspended by the end of this week, sources say.

These disruptions are occurring against the backdrop of a near-complete halt in crude oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. This is due to renewed military actions between the United States and Iran, and the Houthi rebels in Yemen threatening Saudi exports from the Red Sea.
