The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, continues to hold consultations with Ukrainian commanders.
Today, July 19th, on the fourth day of Ukrainian protests in the streets, Zelenskyy communicated with the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drпати, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Volodymyr Horbatiuk, and the Commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Apostol.

Zelenskyy’s meeting included Mykhailo Drпати, who briefed the president on the current situation at key front sectors in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.
“I appreciate the objective assessment of the situation, the detailed analysis of the key needs of corps and brigades in these directions, and the proposals regarding problematic issues and addressing supply deficits. We must not lose a single day in defending Ukraine’s independence, our positions, and our people. Thank you for your service!” Zelenskyy wrote.
The parties dedicated special attention to the implementation of international agreements and the provision of defense forces. The current priorities have been identified as strengthening air defense and fully fulfilling contracts for the production of all types of drones.
During the meeting with the president, the military also discussed the Oleksandrivskyi sector and the active operations of the Air Assault Forces.
A new scandal is unfolding within the Armed Forces of Ukraine
We remind you that the commander of the “Wolves of Da Vinci” battalion, Serhiy Filimonov, received a **reprimand from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi**, without the reasons for this decision being disclosed.
This event is occurring against a backdrop of public outcry: earlier, former unit member Dmytro Koziatynskyi called for protests after the resignation of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and the head of the medical service “Ulf,” Alina Mykhailova, spoke of pressure on military personnel for supporting these rallies.
Concurrently, a media scandal erupted. According to volunteer Serhiy Sternenko and sources from “Ukrainska Pravda,” brigade commanders were ordered to record video appeals in support of Syrskyi by the evening of July 18th. The General Staff and the Ministry of Defense have not yet commented on the situation.
Meanwhile, protests in Kyiv against the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov have continued for the fourth consecutive day, with internally displaced persons and local residents actively participating. According to the Financial Times, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is already holding closed-door meetings with candidates for the position of Commander-in-Chief due to potential personnel changes in the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Fedorov himself, commenting on the rumors, confirmed the existence of tension with Syrskyi, noting that the Ministry of Defense team has encountered actual blockage of their initiatives.
