The much-anticipated reunion of Prince Harry with King Charles also involved another key figure – Queen Camilla, and this is of great significance.

On July 10, Prince Harry reunited with his father King Charles at Highgrove House, along with Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

At the same time, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Harry’s stepmother, Queen Camilla, was also present at this private family meeting, although it was previously stated that Her Majesty did not plan to meet with the Sussexes.

This meeting was the first in four years that King Charles saw Meghan and his grandchildren, who live in California. And Camilla’s presence reflected one important detail, exclusively reported by People magazine.

“She is an integral part of Charles’s life,” says royal biographer Catherine Mayer. Reconciliation with him is impossible without her.”

The palace stated that no photos would be published and no details about what was discussed would be released.

“It’s better for people not to know anything about these meetings,” says a source close to the family. “They should be allowed to restore family ties.”

In his 2023 memoir, Harry reflected on the complex emotions he felt regarding his father’s marriage to Camilla in 2005, who had an affair with the future queen during his marriage to Prince Harry and Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana.

The family reunion took place during Prince Harry’s return to the UK for a series of charity events. However, the visit was marred by conflicts. A public dispute with Buckingham Palace over accommodation arrangements was followed by a devastating legal defeat – all amidst an unresolved conflict with Harry’s brother, Prince William, whom they had not seen for many years.
