According to an OSINT analyst’s assessment, it is likely an “Alan” armored vehicle with a mount for a machine gun on its roof.

A representative of the CIT research group noted that this equipment could be a standard armored vehicle with a partially open turret without an installed machine gun.

Additionally, a vehicle with a structure on its roof was spotted in the motorcade, which might be equipped with an electronic warfare system or communication devices.

During Putin’s movement through Astana, security was additionally provided by a helicopter, which monitored the route from the air.

Furthermore, the released footage shows that individual streets were blocked by armored vehicles during the Russian president’s passage, and military personnel in camouflage and armed were stationed along the route.

The State Security Service of Kazakhstan had previously reported temporary traffic restrictions in Astana due to Putin’s visit and the holding of international events involving special services and military units.
