14-year-old teenager wants to govern the state of Vermont
To run for governor in the American state of Vermont, one only needs to have resided in the state for 4 consecutive years.
Since Dean Roy has successfully met this condition, he decided to take a chance and start building a political career at such a young age.
According to the teenager, he realizes that his chances of winning are slim, but this does not deter him.
I am not counting on an inevitable victory. But I want to initiate a movement and engage more young people who will say: “Yes, we also want change,” – revealed the young candidate his motivation.

Roy also frankly admitted to journalists that he only started actively taking an interest in politics a year ago.
This happened when the boy was in the 8th grade and worked as a page in the state’s legislative body.
To become a candidate, the teenager created his own party, “Freedom and Unity,” in contrast to the two existing ones. In November, the boy’s name will appear on the general election ballots.
