President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed his intention to sign a long-term drone production agreement with the United States, estimated at $35-50 billion.

According to the head of state, Ukraine already possessed relevant production capacities.
The President also believes that this agreement with the US could become a “major deal for many years to come.”
I wanted to sign an agreement for about 35–50 billion. We had such opportunities. This is a major deal for drones for many years. And even if some naval drones don’t work in two years, for example, due to new technologies, then new underwater drones will appear.

The Ukrainian leader confirmed to journalists that work in this direction has already commenced.
According to him, official Kyiv proposed the drone agreement to Kyiv almost a year ago.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine can provide the system, and the US should be the first to engage, as they are one of the main allies.
The head of state noted that it concerns a system in which 200 companies can operate.
And the choice will be made by the United States side. One can choose: today, for example, this interceptor is good. Tomorrow another, another company with new technology — one can change, because one needs to be flexible, Zelensky added.
